Available Protection Dogs

Hearthward K9 places trained family protection dogs with households across the United States. Our availability changes often, so we don’t post a static list here. Instead, tell us about your home and family, and we’ll send you the dogs that are available now—with current photos, videos, age, training level, and health and vaccination records—before you make any decision.

Training levels we place

Level 1 – Family Protection

For families who want a reliable companion that will alert and deter. Solid obedience, protective on command, and social with children, guests, and other pets. The right fit for most first-time protection dog owners.

Level 2 – Home & Estate Protection

Advanced obedience and protection training for larger properties and households that need stronger deterrence. Includes property-awareness work and calm behavior in public settings.

Level 3 – Executive Protection

Our most advanced dogs, for experienced handlers or households with specific security needs. Training is tailored to your routines, and handler training is required before placement.

Not sure which level fits? Read our guide to choosing a training level or compare puppies vs. trained adult dogs.

What you receive before you decide

  • Recent photos and video of the specific dog, including obedience and protection work
  • Age, sex, breed, and temperament notes
  • Health and vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian
  • The price, delivery or pickup terms, and any health warranty—in a written agreement

How placement works

  1. Tell us about your household – family members, other pets, property, and daily routine.
  2. Review matched dogs – we send details on dogs that fit, and answer your questions.
  3. Meet the dog – in person or by live video before you commit.
  4. Sign the agreement – all terms in writing before any payment. See our refund policy.
  5. Handover and handler training – we teach your family how to handle and maintain the dog, and stay available for follow-up questions.

Buy safely

Puppy and dog scams are common online. Whoever you buy from, insist on seeing the specific dog live, get records and terms in writing, and never pay by gift card or wire to an unverified party. Our guide to common scam red flags explains what to watch for.
